A 20 year old Fergus Falls Man drowned to death in Detroit Lake, his body was recovered three hours after the initial emergency called. Jette Kriston Frandson, was with three friends, jumping into the water from a pontoon. was found in approximately 29 feet of water. “The wind began to push the pontoon away from Frandson who had begun to struggle,” according to the release.
The three friends told deputies they jumped into the water at separate times to try and rescue him but were unsuccessful.
Frandson did not have a life vest or life preserver.
