Alexandria is Top 10 Finalist of the Best Minnesota Town

Alexandria has been chosen as a Top 10 Finalist on behalf of Minnesota Monthly’s Best of Minnesota Town. Official representatives from Minnesota towns of any size had the opportunity to nominate their town. Included in Alexandria’s submission was the history of the town, notable assets, arts and entertainment opportunities, ways that Alexandria demonstrates “Minnesota Nice”, traits of the area, civic accomplishments, resources, issues the town is facing, and photos to demonstrate these areas. Other finalists include Eagan, Fergus Falls, Grand Marais, Lanesboro, Moorhead, Northfield, Savage, St. Peter and Winona.

Voting is taking place now through September 30, 2019 to choose the “Best” town. Visit to vote up to 10 times per day.

Four finalists and the winner will be announced in person at Minnesota Monthly’s “Best of Minnesota Party” on December 4, 2019 in downtown Minneapolis and on Minnesota Monthly’s Facebook page.

The winning town will receive many benefits including a multi-page editorial feature in Minnesota Monthly, a media campaign valued at more than $50,000 and a party in its town.
