The Alexandria Police Department has released an update in regards to the stabbing death in Alexandria last month. Officials say they still don’t have a suspect in connection to the murder investigation of Desiree Frederick, 58, of Alexandria. She was found stabbed to death on November 24th inside the home she shared with a family member.
Alexandria Police Chief Scott Kent says a number of items of evidence were collected at the scene, but they are still waiting for the BCA lab to process those items.
Police have established a timeline for Frederick’s whereabouts on the days leading up to her murder. The report says that investigators have also gone through hundreds of hours of recorded data. They have reportedly executed a number of search warrants, collected evidence, and are still waiting for more electronic data. Kent says the public has been very helpful when his staff has needed assistance in connection to the case.
