A Carlos woman died from a fall while hiking in Oregon’s Columbia River Gorge on Friday August 19th. 62-year-old Jessica Warejoncas was hiking with friends when she fell nearly 100 feet. Rescue personnel reached her 1.3 miles from the trailhead and performed CPR.
Her head injury was too severe. Authorities provided emotional support and mental health resources for those with Warejoncas at the time.
