The Douglas County Relay for Life has broken a record after raising more than $237,000. The Relay was held Friday, July 15th. Pope, Stevens and Swift counties were also invited. Two local businesses were recognized for incredible fundraising efforts: Ellingson’s Plumbing Heating and AC raised over $32,000 and Alexandria Industries’ Fishing for the Cure Tournament donated $115,000. The funds will support the American Cancer Society in the fight against cancer. There were five honorees this year, you can watch their powerful stories on the KIK FM YouTube channel.
