The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating after a fatal crash took place Monday, March 26th at approximately 11:24am, near Wadena. According to the report, a semi and an SUV collided in an intersection on Highway 71 and Leaf River Road. The Freightliner Cascadia was traveling northbound on highway 71 while the Nissan Pathfinder was traveling eastbound on Leaf River Road. Vehicles collided at the intersection of these two roads. A woman in the SUV died at the scene and another woman in the vehicle was seriously injured. The semi driver wasn’t injured.
Road conditions were dry at the time. The Wadena Fire Department, Police Department and Wadena Medical responded.
