Final Push For Stuff The Bus

It’s down to the wire for Stuff The Bus, a back-to-school event coordinated by the United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties.  Generous souls like Mason and Riley, seen helping above at Eldens, have until Thursday, August 15th to fill yellow school bus boxes and give area k-12 graders the basics they need to succeed.

Here’s your top ten list of most requested items:

• Crayons (8 ct.)
• Markers (8 ct.)
• Colored Pencils (12 ct.)
• Notebooks (wide ruled)
• Pocket Folders
• Glue Sticks
• Scissors (blunt tip)
• Pencil Pouches
• Erasers
• Pencil Sharpeners

Backpacks are also needed!

Here is the distribution day schedule…

Tuesday, August 20th from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at the Glenwood Chamber of Commerce.

Wednesday, August 21st from 9:00am – 6:00pm at the United Way office in Alexandria.

Thursday, August 22nd from 8:00am – 5:00pm at the United Way office in Alexandria.

 
Buy new school supplies and help youngsters get off to a strong start this year by stuffing the bus through Thursday.
