
The National Weather Service says that scattered slow moving thunderstorms could lead to localized flash flooding across the region. Officials say that severe weather is not expected over the next couple of days.
There is a nonzero chance of a few weak funnel clouds possible Friday, August 19th, afternoon once again. Otherwise, locally heavy rainfall may lead to some flash flooding potential, especially in areas that see stronger thunderstorms and/or training thunderstorms across the southern valley and west central MN.
On and off thunderstorms are expected through early Saturday before high pressure returns to the state of Minnesota. Their slow movement could lead to localized flooding through late Friday night into early Saturday.
