Massive Storm to Impact the Central and Southern U.S.

A massive storm system will impact the Central and Southern U.S. over the next few days. Widespread heavy snow with blizzard conditions and a zone of wintry mix is possible from the north-central High Plains to the Upper Midwest. Ice Storm Warnings, Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Advisory will be impacting central MN’s forecast from Tuesday December 13th – Wednesday December 14th.

WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM THIS MORNING
TO 3 AM CST WEDNESDAY

* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow
  accumulations of 3 to 5 inches and ice accumulations of a light
  glaze. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Douglas, Todd, Pope, Stearns and Kandiyohi Counties.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 3 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing
  snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the evening commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

your vehicle in case of an emergency.
