Reel In A Good Time With The Viking Sportsmen’s Club

The Viking Sportsmen’s Club does a great job promoting and protecting the great outdoors in our great area.  They have gained a reputation as being one of the most productive sportsmen clubs in Minnesota.

They are having their annual banquet this Thursday at the Alexandria Holiday Inn.  You can go to our psa page for more on that.  Plus, listen this week in the morning to the Shotgun Kelly Show for a chance to win a free ticket to the banquet and a year’s membership in the club!

Just some of the projects the Viking Sportsmen Club does throughout the year include:

In 2018, over 2,200 young people were involved in Youth Outdoor Activity Day, not to mention lots of adult volunteers.

The Viking Sportsmen’s Club keeps our lakes stocked with the state fish.  Their walleye stocking program helped stock 19 lakes in Douglas County last year with over 88,000 walleyes!

They do land restoration to benefit wildlife.  They help with youth and adult food plots helping to plant over 100 acres in 2018.  The Viking Sportsmen support local high school trap, fishing and archery programs, and put big smiles on the faces of our kids in so many ways.

The Viking Sportsmen’s Club thanks everyone who supports them and donates to keep these and other great programs going.  They are always looking for new members, too.  For more on that and other information, click
