A murder suspect is on the loose. The BCA is asking for help to locate 58-year-old Ralph Leslie Apmann. He failed to show up to court for killing someone outside of a bar in 2022 in Windom. He’ He’s 5’10 weighing 230 pounds with a bald head, gray facial hair and hazel eyes. It’s unclear if he’s in a vehicle or, if so, what vehicle that is.
Authorities have put out a statewide alert for Apmann. Windom schools were on “soft lockdown” on Tuesday until authorities determined he’d left the area.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says it’s believed Apmann is armed with a 9mm handgun and an AR-15 rifle and may be in the Twin Cities metro area. If you have seen him call 911 immediately.
Anyone who sees Apmann is urged to stay away and call 911 immediately.
