A Level 3 Sex offender will not be released in Douglas County. The APD gave those updates yesterday that Joshua Holby will be released to another county June 14th. Tonight’s meeting at the city hall is canceled.

As previously indicated in the initial release (see below), Holby will be released from prison on 06/14/22 to intensive supervised release. However, at this time upon release, he will be residing in a jurisdiction outside of Douglas County. He will not be residing in Alexandria as previously stated.
The Community Notification Meeting that was previously scheduled has been cancelled, due to the residency location being changed.

Details: In accordance with Minnesota State Statues 244.052 and 244.253D, the Alexandria Police Department is releasing information regarding Joshua Lee Holby, a level 3 registrant subject to public notification. Holby will be released from prison on 06/14/22 to intensive supervised release. He will be residing within the 700 block of Nokomis Street, Alexandria.
A Community Notification Meeting has been scheduled for 5:00 pm, Thursday June 9th at the Alexandria City Hall. Representatives from the Department of Corrections and the Alexandria Police Department will be available to provide you with useful information on public safety and answer your questions.
