Thousands gathered last night in central MN near I-94 to view and support the Freedom Trucker Rally. Fireworks of red white and blue lit up the sky near the Brandon Co. Rd. 7 overpass. A band performed a concert in Sauk Centre at the truck stop, where locals met and talked to these truckers.
A convoy of truckers and a growing convoy of other vehicles is traveling from Canada to Washington DC. They are showing solidarity against vaccines and other COVID 19 mandates, including strict border regulations and recent closures. Roughly 50-60% of American Truckers are vaccinated and 90% of Canadian Truckers are vaccinated according to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, he argues that this is unnecessary and is stoking fears of a supply chain disruption and inflated gas prices.
